Ask and Act

“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.”  Ephesians 3:20,21

He is able to DO,

and that power working within us gives each and every one of us a ‘beyond’ work to do,

one that we cannot even think of on our own, ‘good works which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them’ (Eph 2:10).

So as we ‘want more’ and pray for those ‘wants’ and even press ‘beyond’ the desires of our hearts, to what is on His heart for us, we discover godly, holy ‘wants’,

and (because they are far more abundantly beyond all that we ask and think) we deem them impossible, when they are not.

In fact, they are what God wants for us and promises to give us.

Oh, that we would just expectantly ask and ACT.

Lord, forgive us for thinking that we have to ‘twist your arm’ to give us ears to hear You, the power to minister Your love to others around us, and all that You have promised us.

It has already been given.

‘His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence’ (2 Peter 1:3).

Show us how to move past the fear, the unbelief, the insecurities, or whatever form the ‘resistance’ comes in.

You deserve our all.  We press to know You deeper and trust You more.  And obey.

“Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God.” 2 Cor. 3:5

Lord, be unstoppable in and through us.
