Said in a Whining Voice, “But God”

There are miraculous works of God in our lives in which

the good ‘purpose’ is hidden deep down

and the positive results are way down the road in the distant future.

These don’t leave us in the comfortable, happy, ‘content with all of life’ place.

They are a struggle.

They pose a struggle to comprehend what God is doing

and a struggle to trust Him in the unknown.

They may even tempt us to whine, “But God !?”

But God knows

and understands us

better than we know and understand

ourselves and our own needs.

And in His great wisdom, He knows why we need the struggle and the exact weight* to use to strengthen us into the vessel He has destined us to become (*back to the exercising example which we understand-see here).

Will you trust Him even in His dealings with your life that you don’t understand?

“After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 5:10

  • I needed to read this in this season. Such excellent exhortation. Thank you Traci for your devotion to God and sharing his truth in love.

  • Bethany, it is always so good to be reminded that He has a plan and knows what He’s doing, isn’t it? We always know that, but life can just get confusing sometimes. He has good plans, and He is a good planner. 🙂 Thank you so much for reading and being such an encourager to me.
