Can We Be Too Diligent?

I am serious, and you cannot be too serious about Me.

You cannot be too devoted, spend too much time in My Presence, in prayer, or in My Word (studying to handle it correctly- 2 Timothy 2:15- and to walk in a manner worthy- Eph.4:1, Col. 1:10) in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation (Phil. 2:15).

You can never be too diligent…

..as you seek to please Me in ALL respects, bear fruit, and increase in the knowledge of God (Col. 1:10).

Faith comes by hearing the Word (Rom. 10:17),

and the Word became flesh (John 1:14)

and says, “Whoever wants to be My disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow Me..” (Luke 9:23) “..and whoever does not carry their cross and follow Me cannot be My disciple.” (Luke 14:27)

Faith produces action (and is not quick to retort, “That is being legalistic” as an acceptable excuse to not obey).

Listen to Me (Mark 9:4-7- ‘give constant heed’).

And grow up in your most holy faith.

My grace has appeared, and it instructs you to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age.  I came to redeem you from every lawless deed, and to purify for Myself a people for My own possession, zealous for good deeds. (Titus 2:11-14)

“These things speak and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one disregard you.” Titus 2:15

This is what grace has done for you, believer. It calls and enables you to be holy as I am holy.

The sin in your life has been conquered by the blood, that you may freely come into My holy presence with awe and wonder and give a correct estimate of Me and the weight of My glory.

“…and day and night they do not cease to say, ‘Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come.’ And when the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, to Him who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders will fall down before Him who sits on the throne, and will worship Him who lives forever and ever, and will cast their crowns before the throne, saying, ‘Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.” Revelation 4:8-11

Come.

Do not allow the enemy steal this precious invitation away from you by making it seem burdensome.

Instead come

and find times of refreshing in My presence (Acts 3:19).
