“You have said, Seek My face [inquire for and require My Presence as your vital need.]
My heart says to You, Your face [Your presence], Lord, will I seek, inquire for, and require [of necessity and on the authority of Your Word].” Ps. 27:8 AMP
We have been in a small ‘What do you want?” series which begins here: A Question to Consider. And as we ask Him “What do You want us to want?”, this is what I hear Him answer.
‘Want ME’..
Seek Me first and My righteousness and ALL these things shall be added unto you.
Put first things first!
Seek My Presence, which truly takes care of the wants for ‘comfort’ AND ‘purpose’* in ways that maybe are different than you imagine,
but better.
ASK.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened. Now suppose one of you fathers is asked by his son for a fish; he will not give him a snake instead of a fish, will he? Or if he is asked for an egg, he will not give him a scorpion, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?” Luke 11:10-13
He is a good gift giver.
Those who seek Him do not get otherwise. He is a good Father.
My friend, pour out your wants to Him in prayer. Talk to Him about all of them. That is prayer.
Ask.
“Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face continually.” Ps. 105:4
When you seek His face, it will be His face that you find.
Are there any ‘wants’ on your list that He needs to purify, ones that you know are against His will for your life and do not honor and glorify Him? Would you surrender them to Him right now, seek His face, and ask for and require His Presence as your vital need and ‘want’.
Period.
And may “all these things” (things that you may have anxiety over the lack of- Matt. 6:25-33) be added unto you as you seek Him.
“I sought the Lord, and He answered me,
And delivered me from all my fears.” Ps. 34:4
And there is peace unexplainable.

And one last note: This answer to the question “Lord, what do you want me to want?” is true for all of us, but you probably heard something a little different as He spoke to exactly where you are. What did He speak to your heart? I’d love to hear.
