A Call to Stop Striving

Lord, have your way.

We are ready for change. Ready to really live a life of brave obedience.

Ready to say, “Yes, Lord,”  even before You ask, knowing that we are accountable to what You call us to, not what the world esteems or what we think is “good enough.”

Lord, forgive us for our self-protection, self-preservation, people pleasing, and the concerns that we give way to that keep us from fulfilling our callings. Break through insecurities and the fear that entangles (Heb. 12:1) so that we may be free to love and reach out and care for others with Your love.

Help us to know when we are busy trying to keep up with what we think is important but is not important to You and therefore fail to walk in obedience to You alone.  Show us if the mark we are striving for is LOWER than what you are calling us to.

Lord, have Your way.

From the Father’s Heart for you today:

With this attitude, I invite you into a deeper place of vision and insight and relationship.

I AM able.

Come and see.

There is so much that people try to attain through works and actions and to be seen that really only comes by attitude and heart submission, the inner workings that are unseen.

It is what is meant by “rest in Me.” That holy submission and giving over of your whole self where I can be all in all and easily produce in and through you what you are constantly wearing yourself out to accomplish.

I long for My people to know and receive My love and live in it and stop striving for it.

Living in My love has power.

Striving for it is exhausting.

Come, find your rest

and rest

rest.

“Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will  find rest for your souls.” Matt. 11:29

“..fulfill your ministry.”  2 Timothy 4:5
