Be Filled

“And whoever in the name of a disciple gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water to drink, truly I say to you, he shall not lose his reward.” Matt. 10:42

From the Father’s Heart for you today:

Be filled* (Eph. 5:18).

It’s a directive. Not just an idea to ponder.

So receive. All the time.

Look to Me all the time.

Depend upon Me all the time.

For I am full of love, and My love never slumbers or sleeps.

Worker for My harvest, ask what I’m up to, what I am doing, and what’s on My heart.

And listen and follow.

Go into the byways and highways and meet people with My love unashamedly (Rom. 1:16), because it will fill their thirst as they experientially begin to know My unknowable love (My love that surpasses mere head knowledge, Eph. 3:19).

Go (Matt. 28:19,20).

I AM Love and a Love-er, which makes you a brave warrior.

“May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality]. May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love. That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it]; [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!” Eph. 3:16-19 AMP

Amen!

*Be being filled. In Eph. 5:18b “.. be filled with the Spirit”, “filled” is in the present imperative passive tense, which means that it is a continuing, habitual action, a command, and that the subject receives the action of the verb.

**”The idea of the word is ‘control.’ The indwelling Spirit of God is the one who should continually control and dominate the life of the believer….The pres. calls for a habitual and continuing action. Pass. could be permissive pass.: ‘allow yourselves to be…’. This is further supported by imp.”
