The devil led Jesus up “and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the he said to Jesus, I will give you all this domain and its glory: for it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. Therefore if You worship before me, it shall all be Yours.”
And “Jesus answered him, ‘It is written, “You shall worship the Lord your God and serve Him only“‘” Luke 4:5,6,7,8.
Oh, to serve Him only!
If this is our sole purpose, He will have us serving PEOPLE well because He LOVES people.
We will serve people much better than when we try to serve them (in our fear of them and what they might think).
May we ALL find our bold confidence in Him (Ps. 138:3), SERVE Him, and rise up and DO all the ‘beyonds’ (Eph. 3:20) that He has prepared in advance for us to do (Eph. 2:10).
Go fulfill your ministry (2 Tim. 4:5).
Me and you, IN Him and His strength and ability.
Let’s worship and serve Him and thereby just become Lights who are so needed in the darkness.
Go. Shine. In boldness. And Strength.
Today as I read this answer of Jesus to the devil’s temptations, I was reminded of why I wrote the 31 days and what gave me the ‘go ahead courage’ (which I will share in the next post).
