Why is There So Much Resistance?

Sometimes we are led down paths that bring us right up against obstacles and challenges that we don’t understand and make us wonder, “Have I missed it?”

These are times that we need to rest in the knowledge that God loves us and knows what He is doing. All the time.

“In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ;…” 1 Peter 1:6,7

From the Father’s Heart for you today:

I call you by name.

You as an individual not just one of the ‘useable crowd.’

Come.

I call you, My child, the one whom I have individually crafted with longings and desires, gifts and talents, and particular hopes and dreams.

And I have allowed resistance and heartache and struggle FOR purpose.

See, without ‘exercise’ and ‘resistance’ even your ‘soul muscles’ atrophy. Too much ease is not healthy or helpful. In fact, it is harmful (inside and out) like never getting off the couch would be detrimental to you emotionally (inside) and physically (out).

If you need another good visual of this truth: what if you only ate candy?

Sometimes in this life, you slip into only wanting ‘candy’: the good, sweet, easy, and happy, with no resistance.

But it’s just not healthy for you.

People slip into terribly unhealthy patterns in the ‘easy’ times.

Let Me change your perceptive on things.

Yes, I know that it is hard to give thanks in all things, but I say, “Rejoice always” (1 Thes. 5:16).

Simply put into practice what I say, trusting Me with the ‘why’ and the hard to understand, and see that I AM good and that I always have a reason behind ‘the thing’ and a bigger purpose in mind.

Come and trust Me, My child, with your life and your days and your future.

-What is your ‘thing’ that seems to be standing in your way right now, making life hard?
-Decide to trust Him with it. And pray. Phil. 4:4-7

“Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” James 1:2-5
And sometimes (not always, but sometimes) we can look back and see that there was a clear defined path there all along.
