Do Not Lower the Standard

“Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people. Cast up, cast up the highway! Gather out the stones. Lift up a standard or ensign over and for the peoples.”
Isaiah 62:10 Amplified Bible

From the Father’s Heart:

Raise the standard

and do not lower it, even though no one comes to attention.

Keep showing the way and giving the battle commands,

and they will eventually come.

They will know where to come because they’ve

seen it,

tried to ignore it,

been drawn to it,

tried averting their eyes,

are unable to ignore it,

but still don’t want to rally around it UNTIL all that holds them back, they realize does not satisfy

and all that they put their hope in, turns to dust.

Out of desperation there will become a longing for truth, and they will know exactly where to go because they have focused so hard to avoid it.

Be a standard bearer in this contrary time.

Speak My truth even though no one listens. For revival is coming if those who lead will not lower the standard. People are hungry and longing for it (along with all of creation), groaning for the pure, unadulterated truth and for us to stop being sidetracked by other things and stop playing around.

Pay the unpopular price!

All that you long for is there, in that place.

All that you long for personally is found there: the peace, the intimacy, the faith, the trust, the authority, and though it tarry, wait for it.

For the fruit, the results, the revival, and all that your heart longs for will be found there, in holding the standard.

They will come.

Raise the standard, keep it high, and surround yourself with people who will support you when your hands get weary (Exodus 17:12).

Do not lower the standard.

A personal note:

I see this picture so clearly, a holding of the unalterable Truth of God’s Word, and holding it high, unashamedly, and calling the troops to it which would initially be rejected. But that rejection was not to deter us from following the order to keep the standard high for all to see. Though they despised it and it seemed to be accomplishing not a thing, it was laying a ground work. It was working inside people without any outward evidence. It was the right thing to do, and it was walking in obedience to keep it high and lifted up even though it was hard.

And knowing that it is accomplishing much and has results that are exactly what we are longing for, along with the support and encouragement from others, will keep us faithful. Looking for that day ahead (and not living by the evidence of the moment where there is NO positive reaction) will keep us strong and faithful.

And what if every believer is poised in this way so that every sphere has that influence (even though it is initially rejected) so that when the time of desperation comes, the Answer to run to is right before them?

Give them truth to focus so hard on to avoid that it is etched into their being. Once they KNOW they have need of it, they realize they already know that Jesus is the only answer.

“You have set up a banner for those who fear and worshipfully revere You [to which they may flee from the bow], a standard displayed because of the truth. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!” Psalm 60:4 Amplified Bible
