Are things not turning out the way you planned? Are you a bit confused by your current circumstances? Do you find yourself wondering if you’ve missed God’s leading or if you’ve taken a wrong turn?
Perhaps a shift in perspective would help. We know that we are not all-knowing, unlike our loving heavenly Father Who is. But often we forget that fact as we try to figure out the answer to the “What is going on?!” question that erupts from our hearts in fear or brokenness or frustration.
“Now when Pharaoh had let the people go, God did not lead them by the way of the land of the Philistines, even though it was near; for God said, ‘The people might change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt. Hence God led the people around by the way of the wilderness to the Red Sea…” (Exodus 13:17, 18)
where they were then chased down and trapped by the Egyptians, fearful and afraid for their very lives with no way out. Notice that they were led there BYGod, a God Who knew more than they did. He knew more about their hearts and about other fears that would be around the ‘easier’ corner. He also knew all about the miracle that they were about to experience as He supernaturally led them through that impossible dead end.
My friend, if you have recently reached a seemingly dead end, don’t stop, park, and set up camp there. Cry out to the One Who hears and already has gone before you with the plan.
“On the day I called, You answered me;
You made me bold with strength in my soul.” Psalm 138:3
Trust the One Who knows everything about you, your current situation, and your future.
“The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace,
Because he trusts in You.
Trust in the Lord forever,
For in God the Lord, we have an everlasting Rock.”
Isaiah 26:3, 4
We came to this chapter in our daily reading plan on Sunday, and it is always such a good reminder of how He knows best. We all need the reminder that He has a plan and that things can look so different from our perspective compared to His. I’ve also posted on these verses before: click here to see. I pray that this speaks encouragement to someone’s today circumstances.
Blessings to you all,
Thanks for stopping by. I would LOVE to hear from you and get your feedback!
