God’s Power Lived Out in Our Lives

“Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?.. God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.” 1 Corinthians 3:16, 17 ESV

“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” 1 Corinthians 6:19, 20 ESV

He lives (dwells) in this temple. What would it look like for that power to be truly lived out, for Him to live His Presence and Power through us (for Him to be manifested) without the restraints of our fears, our reservations, our sin, or our limited expectations

What if our lives were not centered around ourselves (our desires, comforts, preferences, and fears) but instead fully on Jesus and “walking in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God” (Colossians 1:10) to the glory of God, as it should be?

Our thoughts of ourselves and our limitations and what we think we can and cannot do or what we are comfortable with or not, are all hindrances. They are hindrances to His power. Let’s choose to come in belief, with our eyes on Him (Hebrews 12:2), not fearing how out of place or foolish we may look or what man may think (Proverbs 29:25). Let’s obey and fulfill our ministry (2 Timothy 4:5).

Walking in obedience to God’s truth alone, may we manifest Jesus and the powerful Presence of the Holy Spirit.

“As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:15, 16 This includes everything, doesn’t it? Let’s spend some time with the Lord contemplating how wewill obey that instruction, as His holy temple (1 Corinthians 3:17).

“…let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.” 2 Corinthians 7:1 ESV

“The fear of man brings a snare, but he who trusts in the Lord will be exalted.” Proverbs 29:25

“Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul. Keep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing in which they slander you as evildoers, they may because of your good deeds, as they observe them, glorify God in the day of visitation.” 1 Peter 2:11, 12

Lord, we acknowledge that we are not our own. We are new creatures (2 Corinthians 5:17), and we choose to follow You, glorify You, and allow You to live Your presence and Power out through us in this temple, today. Have your way and manifest Your Presence (click here to see where we recently talked about this).

Let’s do today well. And I can’t wait to see and hear what God is going to do as a result. Let’s let Him LIVE through us. Use us, Lord.
