Trust in the Lord

“You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You. So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].” Isaiah 26:3,4 Amplified Bible

Let us not miss that conclusion: “So trust in the Lord”.

Trust in the Lord all you people. Keep your sights set on Him, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). For He is the one to calm the storm and to make the wind and waves that are rocking you to be still (Mark 4:39). Look to Him alone. No other. Trust in the Lord and the strength of His might (Eph. 6:10, 1:19). He is your shield and defender (Psalm 18:1, 2) and protector and the Guardian of your very soul (1 Peter 2:25).

Set Him and His Word as your North Star to guide all your ways and all your decisions. Trust Him enough to step out of your comfort zones and into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9).

Listen to Him.

Obey Him.

He makes a way where there is no way – where that is truly what your eyes see and your heart knows and seems to be reality: “there is no way!” – that is where He comes in and “moves mountains”.

Pray.

What are you believing Him for? What promises in His Word are you currently taking Him up on? The Word is truly a treasure trove. Mine it, pray it, and watch it come to pass in His way and in His perfect timing.

He has long range plans and is so patient. He is never slow. He is always right on time. Trust Him with all your cares and concerns and anxieties. For truly, truly the Lord is good and His lovingkindness is everlasting (Psalm 136). Give Him thanks and trust Him fully.

Spend some time even now laying all your burdens at the foot of the cross. And pick up belief (faith) and trust.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your path straight.” Proverbs 3:5,6

“Blessed be the LORD,
Because He has heard the voice of my supplication.
The LORD is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart exults,
And with my song I shall thank Him.
The LORD is their strength,
And He is a saving defense to His anointed.
Save Your people and bless Your inheritance;
Be their shepherd also, and carry them forever.”
Psalm 28:7-9
